This Moroccan inspired bedroom designed by the team at B.D. Jeffries is just what you’d expect from a lifestyle and home decor boutique known for its refined home furnishings and one-of-a-kind accessories.
Worldly sophistication, textural, and organic are the three words that come to mind when describing this exotic bedroom retreat.
The jumping off point was this contemporary hand-stamped textile designed by Kari Fisher Designs. It’s prominent placement on the bed makes it a strong style statement for the rest of the room. The unexpected fringe detail cleverly reinforces the rustic aesthetic.
Spanning an entire wall, the tobacco stick and leather wall installation is another highlight inspired by travel. The rough hewn sticks add another layer of texture against the raffia-inspired wallcovering.
A Tibetan wool throw and widely popular Moroccan rug balances the room with soft, chunkier textures appropriate for the bedroom. Also currently on the “it list” are these Cameroonian feathered headdresses known as Juju hats. Though they aren’t natively Moroccan, their presence is synonymous with tribal-inspired design.
Lastly, the hushed color palette is a pleasant diversion from the traditionally warmer, bolder colors seen in a Moroccan inspired bedroom. Layers of soft creams, light grays, and hints of camel allow the patterns and art forms to take center stage.
