Want to exercise your creativity this holiday season? I couldn’t wait to try this DIY idea from houzz.com, 7 Ways to Shoot a Great Holiday Card Photo at Home .

Technically I did not shoot this photo. My photographer and friend Kate of Katlyne Hill Photography took us out to play two weeks ago and we had a ball. She emailed me this sneak peek and I took it and ran with it by created this card using Photoshop.
I’m clearly an amateur at this, but am pretty satisfied with how it turned out. I can’t wait to receive my photo disk so I can experiment with other designs. Perhaps, I’ll try my hand at creating our birth announcement. Just 24 more days before I can cuddle our newest little one. My due date can’t come soon enough!

Have you ever tried designing your own holiday card? If not, where do you order your cards?
