The WARMTH OF HOME, MOTHER NATURE, and CONTEMPORARY ART are the main components of a welcoming great room, dining room, and foyer designed for the first clients in our new location.
Freshly picked for the spring…
Using contemporary artwork as the jumping off point, we extracted the warm orange hue and declared it the lead accent color for this great room design. Enthusiastic, creative, successful, and highly motivated, the symbolism associated with the color orange are the same adjectives used to describe this lovely family. The spicy hue will not only make an appearance in the artwork, but also as the contrast fabric band on the custom drapery panels as well as the color in the playful giraffe print featured on the custom throw pillows. Tonal neutrals in the rug, sofa, and armchairs support this oh so fresh and clean color palette.
Rustic meets refined…
We introduced lots of texture by enveloping the room in a grasscloth wallcovering and planting a generously sized teak wood coffee table in the center of the room. In a room with grand gestures such as 10-foot coffered ceilings and mile-high windows, its the rustic elements that temper the room and keep it from feeling pretentious. Warm, reflective and refined, the predominate metal finish is antique brass and is seen in the picture light, ottomans, console table, and round mirror. The harmonious combination paired with the family’s personal objects such a photographs and vases makes this great room the perfect gathering place.
Appetite for Ombré
Bringing the optimism of a sunrise or the calm of a sunset, the graduated tones of the featured ombré wallpaper sets the mood for an inspiring dining experience. The radiant new chandelier will provide another shining moment by way of burnished Raj mirror, wrought iron frame, and an aged light bronze finish. The marriage of these decorative elements teeters on both contemporary and classic and will prove to be relevant for many years to come.
