“Decorating is not about making stage sets, it’s not about making pretty pictures for the magazines; it’s really about creating a quality of life, a beauty that nourishes the soul.” – Albert Hadley, American Interior Designer
Design icon, Albert Hadley, passed away on Friday at the age of 91. His work remains timeless and forever relevant.
He unselfishly created remarkable spaces with emphasis on the homeowner’s lifestyles, not so much following trends, but was the trendsetter himself.
There are some inspiring tributes popping up on the web, here are two of my favorites so far by The New York Times and Jennifer Boles of The Peak of Chic.
Enjoy.
