Design a room around this…
The command was eerily similar to the commercial where the clients plop a faucet on the designer’s desk as inspiration for their bathroom, or was it a kitchen?
The Chiang Mai Dragon pattern by Schumacher has been a crowd favorite for quite awhile and I don’t see its popularity fizzling anytime soon. I’ve used it here in the Main Street Guest Room in the Aquamarine colorway.
With everyone now going wild over the color indigo (present company included) the China Blue colorway was a natural selection. See how great it look in these interior spaces.
BEFORE:
The clients’ existing family room is right off of the kitchen (which will experience a mini-facelift of its own in the upcoming year) and has generously sized-windows that allow sunlight to fill the space. Love!
Here’s the approved design plan:
So far we’ve painted the room Shoji White by Sherwin Williams and it’s made the room sooooo much brighter. I also scored a pair of the most comfortable, modern wing chairs from a local liquidation center which really helped me to stretch their decorating dollars even further! I’m planning to order a new set of legs for these babies and they’ll be good as new!
It’s going to take a while before the sectional and ottoman arrive especially with the factory closing for two weeks this month! But trust me, when it all comes together it will feel like Christmas all over again! I can hardly wait.
Stay tuned!
