I’m back once again at Haven Park this time working in the master bedroom! So far we’ve completed the home’s entry, dining room, living room, styled the guest bedroom and revamped the guest bath. If I’ve learned nothing else about these clients, I know these world travelers love the color red and they love decor with Asian influences.
So the room doesn’t feel too theme-y, the elements I’m borrowing from Asian design are subtle— color, simplicity, pattern, and silhouettes.
We’re primarily addressing the sitting area since the bedroom portion of the room is fully furnished save a bedside table. The design plan below contains the exact items we’re using in the space.
Can you recognize the Asian influences–the pagoda lamp, the alter table, and the red and black color accents?
What you don’t see in the plan is that the coffee table has been replaced with this handsome ottoman from Lee Industries.
Instead of the dijon-hued leather shown, the ottoman will be upholstered in Buchanan Hazelnut with a black walnut finish on the legs.
I’m still deciding on how to style the alter table.
Black and white photography?
With the install only a few short weeks away, I’m off to hunt for these finishing touches. Wish me luck!
xo,
Erika
