I’ve teamed up once again with Home Depot for their Patio Style Challenge! This year we transformed our upper deck into an outdoor dining room. You know we like to make complete use of our home both indoors and outdoors! This project was finished weeks ago, but I had to wait until it went live on their site before I could share it with you. Be sure to visit the Home Depot website to see even more photos of our newly designed space. Here are a few more details about some of my purchases that weren’t mentioned in the original HD post.
My longing for spring’s arrival fueled me with a passion for the color yellow. In lieu of using the pillows that came with the this outdoor loveseat, I pulled together an assortment of pillows and a vibrant yellow throw from HomeGoods. It suits my family’s sunny disposition perfectly!
I also grabbed a few of these mini red colanders (aka pasta strainers) and striped tea towels from HomeGoods. The colanders make for great presentation and also are useful when serving clean grapes and berries to the kids. Straight from the sink to the (outdoor) table!
Lastly, I fell in love with a yellow dish set I picked up on a Target run. The boxed set came with dinner plates, appetizer plates, and bowls. With these, I was finally able to lure the kids from the character plates and onto regular dinnerware!
Below I pulled together a few more of my bright picks in this week’s HUES YOU CAN USE featuring “Mellow Yellow.” As always I’ve got something for both fashion and home. You best believe I’ll be ordering the zebra scarf from Target. The price can’t be beat! Enjoy!
