You know how passionate we are about creating a happy home and infusing the homeowner’s personality into each space we design. Today I wanted to share a mood-boosting bedroom concept we’ve created using their favorite color, green. Studies have repeatedly shown color has a significant impact on our mood—and green ranks at the top of the list for elevating your spirits.
To make this a secondary bedroom feel extra special, we went out on a limb and chose an energetic leaf patterned textile for the custom drapery. Boasting six long custom drapery panels of lush foliage gives this bedroom with 10-ft ceilings a rainforest effect.
The bedroom walls are wrapped in texture with Phillip Jeffries Bermuda grasscloth wallcovering in Grass Green. Here’s sneak peek of our progress.
When bold color is used in abundance it essentially becomes a neutral. Besides, this shade of green is both soothing and calming and promises relaxation to anyone who sleeps here. Travel, even for pleasure, can be a little stressful which is why we were so dedicated to creating a mood-boosting bedroom that aligns visitors back with nature and hopefully restore optimism.
Another key element that drives our natured-inspired theme is the artwork featured over the dresser.
These vintage shell prints accent the bedroom with little taste of the tropics. The distressed frame and oatmeal mats provide warmth to the space and makes it feel a bit more collected.
We’re looking forward to sharing more of the progress of this mood-boosting bedroom. We’re also working on the great room, dining room, and library too! Follow us on instagram for even more peeks behind-the-scenes while we work on site and in the studio.
