One of the highest compliments you can give a designer is more work. It’s most definitely a goal I look forward to achieving with each and every person I work with. Our Main Street clients used to be our Southhampton client. After redesigning the first floor of their townhome, they decided to take advantage of a spectacular real estate deal which practically tripled their square footage. I barely had a chance to photograph the work we’d done before they packed up and moved on.
In the home we started in the guest bedroom then made our way here to the master. Here’s what the room looked like before.
Here’s the design plan:
And now for the reveal…
It all started with one fabric, Tropic Storm from Robert Allen Design. I knew as soon as I received the fabric memo that it was going to be a winner. With so many gorgeous colors and its captivating pattern, it would be perfect for custom drapery and a generously-sized bolster for the bed.
For this project we worked with the client’s well made bedroom furniture and added accent seating such as the oversized wingchair below as well as a newly upholstered bench.
My, my, my, the bench…our client goes completely crazy over leopard prints. Can you blame her? I couldn’t be happier with how this came out. Though the cushion is quite firm, the fabric itself is super soft. Here kitty, kitty…
Some sweet details…
With each project reveal, I try my best to provide a full perspective of the room. Here’s the other side which boasts some amazing artwork above the dresser.
Lean in for a closer look.
I can’t wait to have this photographed by a professional!
Up next is the master bathroom which is pretty much the same size as the master bedroom.
Seriously.
What’s the plan? Well stay tuned. I should be presenting something to the client later this week. Once approved, I’ll be sure to share it with you!
