If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you probably know that we are on Spring Break in Seacrest Beach, Florida. Seacrest Beach is on the 26-mile stretch of breathtaking white sand beaches of South Walton.
The above photo gives a big clue as to what’s going on around here–exploration and discovery. Baby Cam had his first encounter with sand and I’ve been doing a little exploration of my own in the neighboring Rosemary Beach.
It wasn’t by happenstance that my cousin, daughter, and I stopped into Aqua Coastal Sushi yesterday for a late lunch. Located in the town center of Rosemary Beach, the restaurant’s interior was designed by friends of mine, Julie Holloway and Anisa Darnell of Milk and Honey Home, LLC.
The inspiration for the design came from the notion of the good, simple life. Consider a friendly neighborhood spot like a local butcher shop or general store. Elements consist of wood, glass, metal, subway tiles, and Edison bulbs. See below how the designers’ vision came into fruition…
Below was the original concept design for the above banquette seating area. Don’t you love it when a place comes together!

The food was fantastic, our personal favorites being the ceviche, The Wave, and The Beach sushi rolls.
I’m sure my daughter Ava would agree.
If you happen to be in the area, stop by for a visit!
