What happens when you can’t decide on colors for your home but need to move forward with choosing furniture and finishes?

YOU ENTER INTO NEUTRAL TERRITORY.

Last spring we were asked to fully furnish a client’s new home in four weeks. Our key to getting it done so quickly was focusing on creating a neutral foundation while also incorporating items with interesting materials and texture.

I know what you’re thinking, “How does a self-professed color lover manage to restrain herself?” The answer is easy. We scouted High Point Market for attention grabbing lighting, contemporary furniture that satisfied our penchant for classic and timeless style, and furniture with artisanal qualities.

Acrylic, brass, and a fumed figured eucalyptus wood prepare the dining room to be commanding showcase.

HERE’S A PEEK AT THE RESULTS.

The goal for this project and all others was to create a distinctive, comfortable home that would also make a lasting impression.

Classic style meets graphic modern design in this two-tier acrylic and antique brass, 10 light chandelier. Chosen as the obvious focal point in the dining room, it is the first thing you see when you approach the main entertaining level of the home. The dining table and chairs, with their clean, tailored lines work well with both modern and transitional pieces.

Minimal and sleek, we added warmth in the kitchen with a quartet of handsome swivel bar stools in a dark lager finish.

The chairs’ back panel features oval circles that mimic the sphere-shaped oiled bronze and brass pendants overhead.

Minimal and masculine, this living room contains all the essentials without the frills. Emphasis are placed on details including the vertical stitch on the sides and the back of the chairs and sofas. Because this seating arrangement floats in the room—meaning the furniture isn’t pushed against walls or windows—these details are appreciated from every angle.

We bid our client “suite dreams” in this classically current bed inspired with fresh, modern design elements. What we love most is the hand applied bone inlay featured within the headboard. So sophisticated, so sexy.

Other spaces completed within the home include a guest room, breakfast room, media room, home office, and powder bath. We can’t wait to share professional images of this stately Chastain Park home at the top of next year!

If you’re looking to reimagine your home, then we’d love to design and decorate a personal sanctuary that best suits to your style. Please visit our services page for more information. After deciding which service best fits your needs, please take advantage of our convenient scheduling platform.

We hope to hear from you soon!
