[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ast week during a #WiseWomen Wednesday lunch with my friends at Everywhere (a social media marketing and communications agency), I learned about Macy’s “Prom Shopping Party of the Season” and their partnership with DonateMyDress.org.
They need your help! This Saturday, March 17th, please stop by Macy’s at Perimeter Mall in Atlanta to donate your gently worn prom or formal dress. All dresses go to Becca’s Closet, a local DonateMyDress.org chapter. You are going to feel awesome knowing that you helped some young woman make this an unforgettable prom!
To RSVP for the event, text “PROM6” to 62297
If you are outside of Atlanta, you can still participate. The campaign is happening nationwide. Click here to find your closest city.
The photo on the right was taken my junior year. Shucks, I remember it like it was yesterday. My date was quite the unsavory character and I accompanied him against my better judgement. At the end of the night, I was missing a cell phone and had an obscene amount of long distance charges for calls made to New York. This of course was before long distance was free, but I digress…
Do you remember your prom? What was your fondest memory?
FTC Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by Everywhere. The thoughts and opinion are my own. I truly believe that getting dressed up in a fancy gown is an excited experience for a teen and every girl who wants to have the experience deserves a chance. Thanks in advance for making their prom wishes come true!
