Nate Berkus made an impressive start to the new year with the launch of his first fabric collection through Calico Corners. 24 fabrics options ranging from metallics to heavy burlaps made their way to Calico Corner showrooms this month with prices starting at $14.99.
Berkus’ love of travel continues to influence everything he does, much like his wildly popular home decor line with Target. Look for ethnic inspired print offerings along with tried and true patterns such as stripes and herringbone.
The importance of affordability was also a great consideration.
“One of the things that is most important to me about this collection is that it be accessible,” Berkus said. “I think if someone is seeing different fabric patterns and textures that they like in my collection, then they should be able to find and afford these fabrics for their home.”
According to Julie Morris, Vice President of Merchandising at Calico Corners, younger shoppers are are showing more interest in custom product. Perhaps this statement reinforces the reason behind the affordable price point.
Garnering attention from the younger crowd has also lead Calico Corners to Facebook where fans have a chance to win a copy of his book, The Things That Matter, and offers EVERYONE $20 off purchases of $100 or more. Click here for more details.
