I’m always looking for ways to shake up a fall color palette and venture away from the expected. It’s a guarantee that we’ll see cranberry shades this time of year whether it’s on our Thanksgiving buffet or accents on a Christmas wreath. But how often will we see it paired with pink?
The foundation for today’s inspiration is a rich red courtesy of Glidden’s Red Delicious paint. Often used in kitchens and dining rooms, alone it can feel a little heavy. To lighten the mood, I love the idea of adding pink accents by way of kitchen appliances or through textiles as seen above.
The featured fabrics can be used in any combination for window treatments, chair covers, dinner napkins, or inspiration for kitchen towels or carpet runners.
If like dark colors, but rather use cranberry as an accent, then consider using Elegant Charcoal as a base.
If the perfect pink room is what you’re after, I’d suggest you try Powder Pink . In a bedroom, instantly elevate the sophistication factor with cranberry red throw pillows in a sumptuous velvet. Yum!
I’ll continue this season offering fresh fall pairings here on BluLabel Bungalow so stay tuned! Which colors would you like to see remixed?<
