[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dramatic, moody florals are once again, a thing. Dating back to the 17th Century, Dutch still life paintings have been timeless examples of bold, stylized florals on a black background. Kohler has taken it to the next level by offering this stunningly haunting application in a line of luxury sinks from their Dutchmaster Collection.

Kohler collaborated with “florography” artist Ashley Woodson Bailey to turn peonies, dahlias, ranunculus, and hydrangea into blooming basins.

Their romantic displays captivated audiences at KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) 2018 in Orlando allowed us to revel in its vivid hues.

Kallista displayed an elegant faucet design that puts femininity right at your fingertips. The hand-painted spring motif combines classic art with the everyday.

If sinks and faucets are too much of a commitment to the moody floral trend, here more ideas for welcoming this trend back into your home.

Moody Florals Look Fashion Forward On Wallpaper

We loved the pairing of floral wallpaper and hearty moldings in “The Socialite’s Dressing Room” vignette designed by Amanda Forrest for Metrie. The wallpaper’s black background breathes an air of sophistication into an otherwise “granny chic” floral.

  1. Florals are definitely my favorite pattern! So happy to see it being such a string trend in 2018

  2. Debra says:

I’m a minimalist and a neutralist but these flower ideas do look refreshing! Thanks for changing my point of view!

  3. JoAna says:

I like that these florals are fun! I haven’t been a floral person before as I always think of the 80’s & 90’s floral patterns-yikes! These sinks are a cute and easy way to jazz up a room. Thanks for sharing them.
