Last Thursday, I along with a few other interior designers/bloggers and Atlanta media, were invited to preview this year’s 2015 Serenbe Designer Showhouse. The showhouse was built by Monte Hewitt Homes and its interiors designed by 12 of the most talented Atlanta interior designers. To say that this experience was a treat would be an understatement. As a self-proclaimed showhouse fanatic, this one is a must-see. But before your visit, read my post How to Tour A Decorator’s Showhouse to get the most from the self-guided tour.

Before I elaborate further I must say that I’m unbelievable proud to be a part of a community with remarkable talent. I found tremendous inspiration throughout this little piece of paradise and walked away with great ideas I can use to enhance my own design projects. Let’s take a look.

Amy Morris Interiors gave us soft sophistication in her warm, blush dining room. Layers of wispy, appliquéd linen drapery adorn the windows, while the well appointed rug grounded the entire space.

Huff Harrington Home brought their signature art-loving, Francophile style into the heart of the home—the kitchen. Modern updates are woven seamlessly into the design from the impressive range hood to the professional grade Bosch appliances.

Lauren DeLoach Interiors delivered a flawless living room design featuring one of my favorite subtle shades of sage green. Her use of pattern upon pattern is one to be examined if you are looking to do the same in your home.

Shayelyn Woodbery Interiors presented a moody, secondary living area on the terrace level with the perfect balance of masculine and feminine design.

Have you seen a more posh office than this one by Jason Mitchell of Smith Boyd Interiors? Family heirlooms, combine with hide, fur, fine art, and modern touches. It’s a well-executed, curated mix that is hard to get right but he nails it perfectly.

I probably spent the most time in this space designed by Cloth and Kind. Intrigued by every little detail, I touched each fabric, trim, and asked a thousand questions of Tami Ramsey (co-owner).

The guest bedroom, designed by Barbara Heath was another strong contender for the title of “My Favorite Room of the House”. A palette of java, cream, and antique gold gave the room a masculine feel, however the layering of the accessories brought it all back to a gender-neutral balance.

Take notice of the window treatments! There have two every different designs, yet they are united by color and transitional styling.
