This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Office Depot, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #inspirestudents http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
School’s back in session and this year our home boasts two second graders and a proud kindergarten scholar. With lightening speed, new concepts are introduced each week which often requires the learning to continue after class has been dismissed. We recently returned to Office Depot to reload on school supplies to keep at home. While our first shopping trip were for supplies requested by their teacher, this trip allowed them to hand pick school supplies with a element of curiosity and fun!
For example, Dallas’ kindergarten class writes with a chunky pencil. When he saw PaperMates’ neon mechanical pencils he asked “what are these?” while tearing into the packaging.
Writing with a more slender utensil allows him to practice his fine motor skills…the neon color just makes it even more fun!
Did you know that students who study art are 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement and 3 times more likely to be awarded for school attendance?*
These are some pretty cool statistics! So in an effort to reduce screen time and promote art education at home we encourage our kids to draw, color, and create stories about their masterpieces. Above, Evan chooses scented markers from Mr. Sketch for his latest art project.
He says the markers’ fruit fragrance inspires him to be more creative. ::shake my head::
Kids.
Then again, after seeing his finished work, I may be convinced of Evan’s theory. His masterpiece is alive with color!!
And baby brother approved!
Want to get in on the fun? Right now Office Depot and Office Max are offering $5 off your purchase of $20 or more on Select Newell Rubbermaid Brands (PaperMate, Expo Neon Window Markers, Sharpie, Uni-Ball, & Mr. Sketch). Take advantage of this deal while supplies last!
