Design Enthusiasts Ellen DeGeneres and Porti de Rossi give Architectural Digest a tour of their Beverly Hills Estate
Ellen DeGeneres apparently has a few hidden talents. She’s a comedienne, talk show host, and has some ruthless design skills. Who knew?
“We never had a house growing up,” she tells AD. “We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time.”
Talk about the power of dreams coming to fruition. I love hearing stories like Ellen’s and many other successful people who came from humble beginnings. They offer hope for the future and give us to motivation to keep working and never give up.
The entire home shows white in an entirely different light. When combined with organic elements such as wood, stone, natural fibers, and a roaring fireplace, its anything but cold and sterile. Pick up the November 2011 issue of Architectural Digest and click here to read the article and tour her cozy abode.
