I wasn’t aware of this long running Southern belief tradition when I selected an ethereal blue paint color for my client’s sunroom but it makes total sense to me.

If you live in a traditional style home, a lighter blue like Sherwin Williams’ Topsail SW 6217 may be the perfect fit or if you live in a more contemporary style home dare to go a bit bolder with a color like Benjamin Moore’s Palladian Blue HC-144
As we embrace the reality that there are only so many hours in each day we can still practice our attempts to circumvent Mother Nature’s “evening effects” when we paint a little daylight under our roof.
