I’m in planning mode today. With all of today’s advancements in technology I’ve gotten away from putting the pen to some good ole’ fashion paper. Pretty antiquated, huh. Seeing my words on paper has always helped me to be better organize my thoughts, hopes, and dreams.

I’m also checking items off my to-do list. For example, designing calling cards for BluLabel Bungalow is long overdue. Here are two designs.  Which do you like best?
This one

or this one

Because I also sell furniture, I am considering buying an ad in my community’s newspaper to advertise. There are a million ideas swirling in my head and my BlackBerry just can’t hold them all!  What method do you use to organize your thoughts? What are you working on right now regarding your business or a special interest?

I still write things down, you have to, technology is not always reliable. Don't overthink anything, then you'll be like me going back changing overandoverandover, but both of the card layout are nice.

  2. Southern Aspirations says:

I like the second card best!

I have a little notebook I carry with me always. It helps!!

  3. C.J. says:

I seem to never write down what my plans are, but I do find something through mainly blogs and save it to my favorites. I get a thought and go into the action mode. lol

  4. C.J. says:

oops forgot to tell you that I like the second one better, it looks cleaner, simpler…

  5. Real Estate Resuscitation says:

Both are nice, but I vote for #2.

    Sharon

  6. other-option says:

I like the second option best.

  7. Emily A. Clark says:

I like the first card the best; love that crest design.

As for my methods, I have none! I always have 1001 crazy thoughts in my head and somehow it just works out 🙂

  8. Alluring Interiors says:

    Fabulousity…I chose #2!

  9. The Budget Brides Handbook says:

I like both but #2 the best. I also have a journal that I carry around with me. It is my go to bible when I can't remember things off hand. I am currently working on relaunching my blog and working on a t-shirt shop.

  10. Tina Steele Lindsey says:

    LOVE them both.
Option 1 says it all without flipping the card, and Option 2 is catchy with the blue on the back.
For me, flipping through all my designer cards I have I would probably go for the one with your name on the front, which is number 1.
    I dunno, its all good!
    Go with your first instinct!

  11. Sarah La Rose says:

Erika i love the 2nd card the best. It's looks fresh. The first has too much information on one side.

I love reading your blog each morning! You amaze me at how much you have going on.

    xo

  12. Divamom-Act II says:

I must pen to paper from time to time and all my "good" reading I must hold in my hand. I like the first card best. Looks uncluttered. Love the font of your name on the 2nd. Put your name banner from the second on the first and see what you get. Good luck choosing.

  13. The Frugal Hostess says:

Love Option 2!!! Pick that one!!! When you figure out the perfect organizational tools, let me know. Right now, I use a color-coded calendar in MS Outlook, a Blackberry, a customized daily checklist print-out that I designed to match my big goals, and two notebooks that I carry everywhere I go – but I still feel crazy!!!

  14. Heather says:

I like number 2. showcases your blog name, best. 🙂 have a good day

  15. Rachel @ La Bella Bungalow says:

    Hi Erika-
I really like option number 2. It's very clean looking. I'm right there with you on the pen and paper thing. It feels almost like therapy to put my mental to-do-list on a piece of paper. I'll be blogging in the very near future on my method!

    ~Rachel~

  16. Tamstyles says:

i love the cards..great idea of course….i didnt know you sold furniture.

  17. The Shiny Pebble says:

First of all, I absolutely adore your banner. Just found you from High Gloss Blue. I think I like the first option best. That way you have all your info right there on one side of the card. I am currently working on getting my home's yard in good shape for the season. I had to work on it from scratch. Mostly all of the ideas were dancing in my head until executed. I posted a bunch of it, so go take a look if you have a chance.

  18. Dreams of Perfection says:

I think option 1 is a nice clean look. Option 2 has a fun look to it. They both look great, but offer different "personalities". As far as being organized, I am all over the place now-a-days. I'm finally getting a grasp on things. I find it easier to write down a list of things I need to get done. The 1st being the most important. I am currently working on my sanity. Seems to be going out the door lately.

  19. my favorite and my best says:

    number 1. done.

  20. Domestic Goddess says:

Girrrrl. Numero dos. I have all kinds of lists, to-do's, honey-do's, plenty of don't-you-dares… and they all get done (or not) in their due time. Focus. One thing at a time. As our fab first lady would say (I see you're a superfan like me), "You can’t make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen. We just weren’t raised that way."
You're fabulous. Go with your gut. Hope to see you soon. XO

  21. growthstylenlove says:

I vote for choice number two! In regards to your ideas I double team it. I have a handy dandy notebook and then I reinforce it online through my Microsoft OneNote.

  22. Mrs. Chic says:

I like number # 1 the best…I'm old school too, lol I cute a cute notebook I can write my todo list in.

  23. keely @ luxe + lillies says:

Hey Erika! Good for you, it always feels good to take some time to do this. I think design choice 2 is super fabulous and fitting! I am a list maker too, I write down what I need to get done and each nuance of it, and cross it out when I am done. It feels good to look at the list and see things get accomplished!

  24. Anonymous says:

I like option one the best!

I write things down (often leaving the list somewhere). I am starting to use my blackberry for list.

  25. Redesign Diva says:

I likey the second one…I want Michelle o's hair, and what kind of furniture do you sell? I didn't know that…

  26. Jonesie says:

I like Option 2..it's young and fresh and something a client would def remember. I am a pen to paper kind of girl so I stock up on moleskins, they fit in any bag perfectly and they're so neat but I also keep a to do list on my blackberry so that should something need to be done at a certain time I have a reminder going off. Good luck with everything, when we finally make the move to ATL we'll def be looking for you.

  27. Raru says:

I like option 1.. because it's clear and simple.

  28. Raru says:

Wish you a nice day :)))

    xoxo,
    Raru

  29. AB HOME Interiors says:

Love number 2. GO WITH 2!!! LOL!

  30. Deanna says:

    Love option #1.
