This room continues to haunt me.

Every since that cold winter’s day in Atlanta when I toured the AH&L Magazine’s Christmas House this room designed by Amy D. Morris Interiors has haunted me. The gray walls, combined with warm woods, and brass accents had me wanting to slip under the covers and pull the curtains. I wanted so badly to paint my master bedroom this color, but my husband was turned off by the idea of painting our room any shade of gray. So I did the next best thing…I painted the guest room the exact same color (Sherwin Williams / Amazing Gray SW7044 ).  And of course he loves it.  Go figure.

Because I encourage my clients to take a closer look at what they have around the house before shopping for new items, I decided to practice what I preach. It surely worked for my sons’ room as well as my daughter’s room. I’m slowly pulling the room together with items I already own and can’t wait to show you the final results!

Don’t you just adore this space?

Oh wow! I haven't seen amazing gray in person, but I like how it looked in the space Janell designed for a client! I can't wait to see what you do with your guest room!

Oh, and the color looks similar to the color that was in our hotel room in Savannah!

Amazing Gray is indeed amazing! Doesn't look so hot in my house, but have loved using it two client's homes recently and on the Wedding Gift Tray I painted. I love this combo of gray and brass, it creates a nice play between cool and warm. Very Sophisticated, as is your example room! Janell

LOVE this room! I'm going for a similar thing in our master bedroom. It started out as very cool gray and white but I've brought some wood and gold/brass pieces into and am loving how that feels. I can't wait to see what you're doing!

Erika, The room you feature is beautiful. I hvae been afraid of grays, thinking they are too cold~adding the brass tones and warmth of wood may be the answer!

Such a beautiful space. I plan to paint my bedroom gray and never thought of bringing in bronze.. it would be a decadent play with the satinwood highboy I plan to use in there. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to see your room.

Is this Amazing Grey a true gray or does it have a taupe-y feel to it? It looks that way on my monitor..

What a gorgeous bedroom! Perfect color palette! I also find that some people tend to shy away from gray b/c they think it might be too cold or create a depressing mood. Once they see it in person, in a well designed room, they change their mind 🙂
