Last week, I made a major move. I’m certain it will be a surprise to all. Honestly I’m still wrapping my head around it.

There was no fanfare or teasers of what’s to come, you didn’t miss any clues. It’s funny…I’ve had several people compliment the way I quietly set a goal and work with gazelle intensity (my words) to achieve it. They take their eyes off of me for a second, turn back only to find that I’ve done it again.

As much as it builds my confidence to receive such praise I have to be honest about something.

On a daily basis, I walk on water. I chart both familiar and unfamiliar territory with my ear in tune with my Creator. I whisper prayers throughout the day, thank God for His guidance, and ask for next steps. When my eyes are focused above I’m afloat. However the minute I get distracted, I find myself sinking. Everyday is a faith walk

When going somewhere for the first time, it only makes sense to refer to a road map. But when you find several paths to the same destination how do you know which route to take?

I’ve seen people who started their business the same time or after me make moves that blow my mind.

How’d they do that? Which path did they take?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have a few of those successful people be painfully transparent with me about their path. Some of them paid a high price, one I’m not willing to pay, to get to where they are. Others happened upon their success, in their words, by pure chance.

I have lofty goals I want to achieve, but in God’s perfect timing. I’ve gotten ahead of Him before by comparing myself to others and could have destroyed my life.

I’m exactly where I need to be. And you are too!

The Big News…

As the movers unloaded my furniture from the truck and into my new office, on the inside I was screaming,

“What are you doing?”

For the past eight years I’ve operated my design business from home. Financially, it’s worked very well for me and there was no need to mess with a good thing.

However there was force pushing me to move. Sort of like a Mama bird nudging her baby out of the nest.  I’ve outgrown the corner of my nest and my wings need room to expand.

So I embrace this new journey with open arms knowing that Good Things Will Happen! It would sound good to say that I planned for this earlier in the year, but honestly it wasn’t in the plan. I was comfortable in my office at home.

What I know for sure is that I’ll set my eyes above and tune my spiritual ears to hear the next steps. I’ll continue to commit my desires to God yet allow him to edit the process as He sees fit.

This move feels like a beautiful surprise and happened in one of the busiest seasons of my life.  I wouldn’t have planned it this way but I trust in His perfect timing, not mine, and I’m completely at peace with His divine design.

As always, I can always count on you to bring wise, inspiring words of realness down my timeline. I appreciate you sharing and expressing during your time of faith and transition. I’m teetering in and out of a similar chapter and it has me stuck. This just gave me a little nudge. Thanks for that. XO
