TheWards-Christmas2014

I pray everyone had a enjoyable Christmas. I have to admit I was COMPLETELY worn out, but managed to gather the family for a quick picture before heading out. Can you believe how big the kids are???

This was Brooke’s First Christmas and she barely took a nap. EYES. WIDE. OPEN.

It’s been a couple weeks since my last post, but I’ve been hard at work producing some great content for the blog including a special writing project that I can’t wait to share. It’s long overdue. Next year also includes 5 whole house projects and phase 2 of a commercial project. I never even got around to showing you the completed photos of phase 1.

Flying by the seat of my pants, I tell ya.

Zoooooom……

But back to next year’s content…The upcoming changes will be made based on the feedback you gave in the BluLabel Bungalow Readers Survey. I heard you loud a clear. You want more of the same and video content. I can do that!

You also asked that I tackle more of your personal design dilemmas. I will do that, too!

At home we’re making some changes to our two story family room! Here are a few inspiration pics I keep coming back to:

Two Story Great Rooms

What I love most about this room is the furniture plan. See how the furniture pretty much floats in the middle of the room? Currently, we have two curved sofas and two English rolled arm chairs which mostly lean against the wall. The sofas were inherited and truthfully are to big for the space. Replacing the sofas with a big sectional may be the next move along with adding some decorative moldings above the fireplace and along the perimeter of the room.

I keep debating whether or not I want built-ins on the side (like in the picture below) or just an armoire.

OR what if I want full drama like this! The high contrast is breathtakingly gorgeous!

Decisions, decisions…this year I vow to always follow my heart. I can’t wait to see where this takes me!
