SWANKY SWEDISH FLAT PUSHES THE ENVELOPE ON CREATIVITY

Home Tour, houzz ideabooks, Modern

Houzz.com readers had mixed reviews on my latest interview with Swedish artist and blogger, Tina Sindahl. Some loved Tina’s ability to create glitz and glamour on a dime, while others couldn’t get with Tina’s style. Personally, I thought her flat was a great of example of her remaining true to her design aesthetic and cleverly merging modern and eclectic styles.

Well, I do not know about everyone else, but I love it! Its modern eclectic! What great restrain she has with her color palette, furniture arrangement, and accessories. Every one item and detail of that one item in her home is highly impactful on its own, from the pictures on her wall to the floral arrangements throughout. She has skillfully found a way to cordially bring all those one items together. Very nice!

I could see how it couldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I find it inspiring that she went with her heart and designed a space that reflects her and her alone. In a time where everyone is afraid to personalize their homes because they fear it won't maximize return on investment, her stance to create a place she loves speaks to me.

I agree with Courtney. It's true that it may not be everyone's cup of tea, isn't that the beauty of good design? You don't have to live with it to appreciate someone else's asthethic. I like her sense of herself, and her individual style. I don't speak her language, so Viva la Tina Sindahl!

  • Lovely! I so wish I had many houses to explore all of the design styles that I love.

Right now my house is full of color and pattern and lately all I'm craving is calming rooms with whites and raw wood, etc.

Off to house to check out the rest of the home!
