OBJECTS OF INTEREST

During the summer months, a fresh floral arrangement is featured on this table each week. The children love to see which flowers will appear on Saturday morning. However fall is a much busier season for our family with school, ballgames, travel, etc. and I don’t have as much time to tend to the flowers to make them last. Instead I replace my floral arrangement with objects of interest like this oversized cloche with a collection of old books.  I like to think a little crust adds authenticity and character to a home and love mixing old accessories with newer ones like the chinoiserie lamp in the foreground.
